Fathom this Sugar cane squid, Rigid with hunting, Splash smooth trails of Gulf Stream through Their bronze slick torsos, Rein in extension cord arms And acid dose the cool surrounds to dominate the sea. Freeze frame squid, Rankled with waiting, Lean neckless water heads to loll and listen, senses Flare across the rumble, Shellfish crackle, seaweed grunts, Prey fish fidget, thump and thud. Sallow grain squid, Reckless with majesty, Sink bubble bursts of inky threat to Where kelp froth dangles, Eye bulges crane and bend And calm surveillance owns the giants' ocean dance.
