This her body black day
She'd jumped started it every morning for
9 months since the doctors
Nodded heads and clicked their split
Decisions, tapped their ballpoints, frowned on cue.

This her body's blackest day
When no cajoling no dark threats no
Come-come-on! negotiation 
Twitched a muscle, switched a signal
Dropped the ball.

This her body black
This useless carriage
Frantic wishes stoned by 
Neurons that held rigid through her fall.

This the body's black
Broke(n) transmissions
And denied her stumbling mind
A final call.
