I'm a recent Seattle transplant via South Africa, Italy, New England, Chicago, and Australia. My work has appeared in Dunes Review, Crack the Spine, Ginosko, Phoebe, RiverSedge, Sugar House Review, Sanskrit Literary-Arts Review, and others. A tree-hugging polyglot, I love space science, big skies, and unrelenting rain. My day jobs have included social worker, counselor, college professor, researcher, community developer, and grant writer. Twelve of my novels are self-published through Amazon. My writing mirrors an international experience, reflecting how place affects family relationships and personal choices. In addition to creative writing, I work with Acres of Diamonds, a transitional housing service for women and children.
As a poet, I am an avid student and practitioner of new formalism.
